INAUGURATION OF THE VILLANUEVA II PLANT WITH A CAPACITY OF 50 MWp BUILT FOR PLENITUDE

Following the successful connection of the VILLANUEVA II photovoltaic plant in April, the plant built for Plenitude Spain was officially inaugurated last week.

GRUPO ZARAGOZÁ led the development and engineering of the project until Plenitude joined in 2022. Construction of the plant began in March 2023 and was entrusted to Zaragoza Medienerco, reaffirming Plenitude’s trust in our business group.

The solar park, located in Torrejoncillo del Rey (Cuenca), features 76,896 photovoltaic modules using PERC technology, generating over 101,143 MWh annually—enough to meet the energy needs of 30,000 households for one year. The construction of this plant will prevent the emission of 80,623 tons of CO₂ per year.

The VILLANUEVA II plant created over 250 local jobs during its construction phase, supporting local employment and the region’s economic development.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to this project, directly or indirectly.
