The project, located in the municipality of Torrejoncillo del Rey (Cuenca), was developed, designed and built by GRUPO ZARAGOZÁ.
The VILLANUEVA plant is installed on a surface area of 83.04 hectares with 77,216 monocrystalline PERC bifacial modules mounted on horizontal axis trackers and nine power stations. It will produce 101,143 MWh of clean, renewable energy per year, generating the capacity to supply almost 30,000 homes with renewable energy.
VILLANUEVA has created more than 250 local jobs during its construction phase, supporting economic development in the Castilla La Mancha region. It has moreover facilitated direct hiring for three jobs in maintenance operations, consolidating its commitment to community and sustainability.
This new plant is located close to PV VILLANUEVA I, in Torrejoncillo del Rey, and PV VILLANUEVA II, currently under construction. With these facilities, we reaffirm our commitment to generating clean energy and developing sustainably in the region.
